is the current all black team the strongest team ever from nz?
A lot of rugby commentators from other counrties are rating the current all black team is one of the strongest or the best allblack team ever to be assembled in one time. Are they really that strong?. I dont think so.They lost 3 games to the boks last year which wouldnt make them no better than an average allblack team. I rate Tana Umaga's Allblacks from 2005-2007 (heading into the 07 world cup) as much stronger and the Sean Fitzpatrick-zin zan era as being the stongest ever in the professional era.
So are they that good or which allblack era do you think was the strongest ever allblack team?

Do the All Blacks respect/fear/hate the Boks more than any other team?
I ask this because the Springboks received the far more aggressive and intimidating "Kapa O Pogo" (I apologise for any incorrect spelling NZers) in both tests, while the Wallabies received the "generic" ''Haka''. I might also add that the energy put into the Hakas' against the Boks was far higher than what the Wallabies got.P.S. I am in no way offended by the "Kapa O Pogo". I love it that we got the more aggressive Haka.
In hindsight I reckon hate is a little too strong.
An interesting thing regarding the Haka. On our tour to New Zealand for a Tri Nations game in 2005 or 2006, not too sure, but it was when the All Blacks debuted it, Jake White had spent alot of time educating the Boks on the "Ka Mate" variation of it. He wanted the players to fully understand it, so as not to be too intimidated. But, when the All Blacks unveiled the "Kapa O Pango", he could see on the faces of all but the hardy, veteran Boks, that their psyche had been dented by it. Jake also believed it took his guys about 10 minutes to get around it during the game.

Who actually interprets the laws correctly?
I've been doing some reading and it is clear that the North and South have different interpretations of the laws. I mean, with our own refs in the Super 14, if the Sharks never stumbled out of the blocks, we could've sent 3 teams to the semi-finals. So we really had no problem winning or retaining ball. But now, 2 straight tests under Northern refs and we can't make these guys happy. I believe P.Divvy is correct in demanding clarity in the interpretations of the laws. One month you have two franchises in a major final, next month you cannot win a ball to save your life. I'll be the first to admit that the Springboks are more brawn over brains. And no, I'm not saying we are retards, but we play hard, up front rugby, not craftily, on the brink of infringements which seems to be the only way under Northern interpretations. And there is without doubt that the Boks are the most physical and confrontational international side. We need to resolve this. The Aussie, New Zealand and South African refs obviously did no thave much of a problem with what our guys done during the Super 14, but it seems Irish refs do.You can't allow us to play our way one week, then suddenly blow us to pieces the next week because we are wrong. So, the IRB needs to make a decision. Northern or Southern interpretations. Or else the World Champions are gonna head into their title defense not knowing what they are supposed to do, as in the Super 14, they are sweet, but in the green and gold, they are way off the mark.
@ Andrew - The Boks gameplan is quite literally a carbon-copy of the Bulls. I agree that it is nowhere near the Stormers, but it is just like the Bulls. Relying on brute force up front and then relying on the kicker. I'm not refering to overall performance, I'm refering specifically to the breakdowns and our inability to retain or steal possession effectively. All of our forwards have had a hard time making the refs happy, yet all of them performed admirably during the Super 14. It's not that we can't compete in that area, we just aren't being allowed to.

A friend highly recommended a series of boks, but I can't remember the name. I can't reach her before going on vacation, and I would like to bring the books with me.It is about vampires, mostly evil mean types, not sparkly emo ones. I remember she said it was a story made up of different books. Each one is told in one point of view, and every book is by a different person. Also the blood-sucking scenes were for adult readers only.
I think the title was ''blood something'' or ''something blood'', but that isn't much help since most vampire books are called like that...

Peter de Villiers = Worst Coach in the World?
Guys i'm South African true Bok supporter to the end, but hell the Boks are playing like a team with poor selections, no direction, and no gameplan!Both the All Blacks and Wallabies didn't just outplay us, they made our star players look very very average, they beat us convincingly, and to top it off we have now played 3 games in the Tri-Nations (as defending champions) and have yet to gain a single point!
Surely with the two top Super 14 sides and with depth in Springbok rugby, it can't possibly just be "poor refereeing" (which by the way is a major excuse used to blow smoke over the real problem)
The real problem = Peter de Villiers!
Its so incredibly frustrating as a passionate Bok supporter to have week in and week out this clown talking absolute rubbish and acting as though he is the best coach in the world.
Personally I believe that Peter de Villiers is the worst coach in the world coaching the best team in the world.
Honestly how do you have the two top Super 14 sides combined into one and you stuff it up that badly??? Good God!

Where is the consistency?
South Africa took another beating against Australia. Before I rant, I'll concede, yes, we are not playing well. But here are a few things that pi$$ed me off.1 - 2nd Half kickoff, SA has the ball, it's a ruck and Ruan Pienaar stands shouting at referee Clancy that Pocock is entering the side of the ruck and trying to interfere with the ball, which he succeeds in doing. Nothing.
2 - Minutes later, Ryan Kankowski is attached to the ruck, is clearly on his feet and trying to pull the ball away, but he is penalised for being off of his feet. Huh???????????
2 - BJ Botha falls over the ball, pulls his arm up and can clearly be seen attempting to lift himself off of the ball. The ref bins him for "trying" to kill the ball? But Pocock done the same thing earlier and got nothing. Huh?
3 - Inside the Wallabies half and Schalk Burger is tipped and dropped onto the ground, without even being in possession of the ball. Besides a tipping, this is also playing the man without the ball. At the same time, an Aussie boot can be seen playing the ball while the player is on the ground.
4 - Quade Cooper tackles, tips and drives Morne Styen into the ground on the halfway line, with his elbow driven into the back of Steyn's head as Steyn lands awkwardly on his neck & shoulder. He is binned. His tackle is far worse than the one Jean de Villiers pulled last week. Will SANZAR be consistent and cite Cooper?
5 - Forgot who done it but Victor Matfield is tipped in a tackle too.
So, we are 0-3, will relinquish the title and we have not been good but it's now two weeks in a row that some funny things have been going on. I'll say it again, the Boks have been unfairly painted with the "Thugs 'n Cheats" paintbrush. But, I want to see if Cooper is also a thug or another "innocent" Antipodean?
Thank God we are coming home, I don't think I can sit through another 16 versus 15 Rugby match. Two have been enough. Hopefully we sort ourselves out and play well enough so that we don't have to rely on the ref's calling the game's down the middle and keeping them fair.
Before calling me a crybaby or a whinger or whatever, I would like you to address the points I raised from this game, because I know we would have seen more yellows if those infractions were committed by Boks.
Nick C - Yeah, you're right. Naas Botha said the same thing, it just does not look like we have a clue at times. I mean, 4 weeks ago we were on fire, now it's fallen apart. Maybe we did not play like winners but the refereeing these past two weeks has left a bad taste in my mouth and I can't help but feel it could have been much closer, at the very least we should have had 2 bonus point defeats coming home. Nothing much but it looks more respectable and would still keep it interesting. We have not been good but I refuse to accept that we have been -51 poitns worse than Oz and NZ.

Do you think Russows yellow card was justified?
At first i thought it was a very soft card, having just watched a replay of the incident, it is clear to see that russow attemted to eye gouge Richie McCaw he reached down with his fingers curled and attempted to hook McCaw in the eye he just missed the eye and only got the brow, Watching it in slow motion there is absolutely no doubt about what he intended to do, this is why McCaw lashed out and then Dannie followed with a pathetic little stab with the knee.This is a typical trait of South African rugby and its no shock that its happening when they have a coach who condones these actions. Boks have nobody to blame for thier losses but thier lack of discipline.
@MB1810 The difference was Devilliers tackle was an illegal spear tackle. Rangers tackle was technically legal and shud not have even warranted a penalty everyone is quick to jump on any big hit nowadays claiming it must be a shoulder charge, his arm was extended away from his body it was a legal hit.
As for why South Africa is always under scrutiny, there is a big difference between say a High Tackle or a swinging arm and A headbutt and an Eye Gouge. South Africa commit dispicable purposfull actions All Blacks and Aussie dont play with that in thier games the odd high shot yes like everyone but Eye Gouging Headbutting no there is no place for that in the game at all.
@Lago if u attempt to shoot sumbody but miss, does that not warrant arrest?? The intention to eye gouge was there it was clear to see he was just off by about a centimetre and the whole time he was watching what he was doing so it was not accidental.
@ Daisy, i fail to see the point you are trying to make, Foul play happens in everygame , Yes jimmy cowan pulled bakkies jersey and got away with it, no different to Dan Carter being taken out after a kick and chase, those things happen all the time what you South Africans fail to see, is the difference between a Jersey pull or a tackle infringement and plain street thuggery like a head but or an eye gouge, if you cannot split the two in ur mind then you have just proven our point.

I really think the All Blacks have done Australia a huge favour, Bakkies botha and Devilliers both out.The Boks will have thier pride dented and will be still recovering from two very high pace high intensity battles.
They have not won in Brisbane for a long long time if ever and i think the Wallabies have had the blueprint layd out for them on how to beat the Boks.
If aussie can hold thier own in the fowards which will be a big ask i think they have the backline to make dents into this Bok backline.
Will be a very interesting game to watch and another loss for Africa could well be the end of thier chances this year. Go the Aussies from a Kiwi!!!!!!!!
Lol at the wallaby backline being the envy of the world. I must have missed the games when they have looked anything but average. They have some good individual talent, but as a backline working together they are far from being the smooth operators that they shud be. Genia has not sparked in the Wallaby Jumper this year and Cooper has shown glimpses of brilliance mixed with inexperience, Giteau has had one solid game and might be on his way back into some form. Australia had the form 9 10 of the Super 14 but they are yet to carry any of that into the internationals, Judging by a loss to England and a narrow win against Ireland.

Withdrawing from course?
I have a 6-week class beginning tonight (once a week) and am considering whether to drop it or not.I am going on a last-minute trip tonight (emergency) and won't be back til the day after the 2nd class which is posted as a mandatory meetnig (so of 6 classes, I would only make 5). The class hasn't started yet but I boght all my boks. Should I go and talk to my professor about the circumstances surrounding my trip or should I just withdraw and take it next semester? If I withdraw, it has to be done by next week. (the day I return from my trip).--i will be flying in the air while class is going on.
I also work full-time and am a full-time student.
I will not lost any $ if I drop this class by next week.

Is John Smit past his prime?
As a South African and Springboks supporter I love him to bits, but a lot of people are saying that Bismark Du Plessis (injured) is a better Hooker and from what I saw of him in the Super 14 and last years Lions tour I believe so as well.But can we afford to lose John as a captain? I am sure Victor Matfield is up to the task since he commands the Bulls in the S14 and coming off of two wins may just invigorate his captaincy potential for the boks.
Then again I am not sure as to how to compare Bismark and John in the scrums, who is better in that department in your opinion?

single with the wrong attitude, how to change it?
i feel so stressed with the amount of work i have to do for my degree, i look very serious and angry all the time when i walk by myself through campus... when im with my girl friends im usually in a good mood, but guys dont really approach me when im with them.., yet my attitude is so closed when im alone that i more than understand why guys dont come up and talk to methe thng is, i dont know how to change this.. im so stressed, and shy, like terribly shy... im not ugly, but i am not very confident so i would approach guys first...
and i can seem such a jerk, coz i dont understand obvious signals after the guy has left... example.. this guy in one of my classes, who ive noticed stared at me all the time, bumps into me in the library and tires to start a conversation...i thought he was juts being polite, so i just said thank you (when he handed me some boks) and the left..
heeelp, new attitude change needed, and tips for finding a guy... my friends tell me to smile more when im in the library (but thats the only time i get to study, so i cant really flirt and study at the same time!)

im looking for a new THICK book to read?
i am in dire need of a new book and i wanted one that was really thick so i dont read it in a day. or a series, that would be cool too. i like mostly fantasy fiction for girls. i have read a lot of highly recommended boks already, here are some of those: the twilight series, the inheritance trilogy (eragon and sequels), all of tamora pierce's books, the chronicles of narnia, the bartimuis trilogy, the abhorsen chronicles, the mortal instruments series, the wicked lovely series, and the inkheart series. and thats just a few. so what are some other good books?Pytanie #49:
